We are absolutely over the moon to share the news that in May Williams was awarded Customer Service of the Year at the Builders’ Merchants Awards for the second year running. The Builder’s Merchants Awards is a national event with winners voted for by a panel of representatives from across the merchants sector’s foremost associations, buying groups and federations, and celebrates all that is great and good in merchanting.

Every employees efforts to make our Customer Service AWESOME has been recognised once again, with the judging panel noting that our Customer Service is ‘second to none and really shone with its work ethic and professionalism’, and our ‘Trustpilot ratings are excellent and (they) recognised that it takes a great deal to achieve over 1,000 reviews at 5* ratings. Williams is clearly the winner as it is passionate about its customers and its customers are its core focus’. It was a well deserved win after a testing year.

But an even more fantastic surprise was to come, when at the end of the ceremony we were awarded the NMBS Special Award for Excellence. This was an unexpected win in an un-nominated category, a one-off award trophy, achieved by receiving the highest combined score from the Builders’ Merchants Awards judging panel. The judges ‘collectively thought that Williams had excelled in every area of its business and this is why it was the worthy winner of the NMBS Special Award for Excellence’, praising once again our customer service, work ethic and ‘utter resilience’, something to be especially proud of.
